Fairy parties seem to be in my future of late, I love them so much I got to do another one for a cute seven year old.
The table was set as a garden and all the fairies came to play!

The birthday girl is in Her fairy paraphernalia

The fairies await the arrival of friends.

They all had a great time including me!

Ghoulish Fun

Our seventh annual Halloween bash was crazy fun. This year the difference being the age
of the kids.Pre-teen it's amazing the difference a year makes!

The games were alot more controlled and I had a lot of help from the kids, wow!
I love this development.
Halloween pictionary, The donut game, balloon stomping, frightful freeze dance.

Where has the time gone?

It's funny how time flies by.Everyday I think about all the things I want to write on my blog and then it's 10.00pm and I am too tired to write anything. With summer hitting the middle faze and back to school looming I am feeling invigorated at the thought of a bit of me time!
I found this great website called Craft Hope and being an amateur crafter I am going to join and do something for the greater good. Make "sock Monkeys".There I said it.Hit the link and see what I am talking about

Oregon Sizzler

I know I have been missing for a while and I must admit it has been from the sweltering heat.I was so lethargic I couldn't move.We have had 106 degrees which to a lot of other states is normal but We also have no AC!!!
So as a respite We have lived at the local indoor pool, salads galore and very late nights.
Hooray the heat wave has broken and We can get on with the rest of our summer.

Flopsy and mopsy but no cottontail..phew!

We added new members to our family.I have promised my daughter She could get a bunny for Her birthday and so I contacted the rabbit advocates:rabbitadvocates.org/foster.html
They got back to me right away and within hours we had choices galore!
Great people. So We had to choose from a litter of 10.We did it but it was hard. Here they are,you can tell from their names We are big Beatrix Potter fans.
Mopsy I guess was the runt of the family so of course my future vet wanted Her!

BEACH PARTY

Carnival and Boardwalk ideas for great party fun!!!

Lots of bright colors buckets filled with 'Fish Food'.
(candy fish, popcorn, check mix). The kids loved it!

We also made the kids their own surf boards..cowabunga!

My recent adventures at a beach party included a Coney Island board walk.
It was great fun games included this pin the tail on the monkey that I copied from a Pottery barn website!

http://www.potterybarnkids.com/stylehouse/parties/carnivalparty/index.cfm?cm_type=snav

None of the items are available any more so I made my own. This is the second party I have used these props!

I also find with so many kids that a prize stand and tickets always works the best, the kids all join in the games more readily and love trading for gifts at the end of the party!
A large array of candy and toys and they stampede!!!

A party full of sea and sand

Beach blanket Bash

It's going to be a lot of fun,30 preschooler's. I want to make photo op boards if you have any ideas of the best way to start...let me know!

Where did the time go?

Well I can't believe how busy I have been.I just haven't had the time or energy to keep up with blogging.
I think with the end of school in sight all our activities are finishing too!
I have a Girl Scout troop and We all went Camping this weekend. It was great and filled with singing, boating and of course s'mores!
The weather was wonderful!

My daughter also got to experience the Oregon trail which means sewing a bonnet and an apron!
That was hard as I cannot sew, but kids are so forgiving!

I have been keeping up and reading from all my favorite blogger's and it seems like We are all in the same boat!

A musical night!

GREASE IS THE WORD!

What a fun time my daughter and I had Sunday night as We went down town to see Grease the Musical. It was really great. I have to admit it was my favorite movie of all time when I was a kid.
The opening was the best as they got the audience all warmed up with a 50's medley whilst the DJ spoke to people in the audience!
My daughter was unusually shy until every one got in to the spirits of it all!
The cast was very good and a special appearance of Taylor Hicks. Before I went I was like..Who is He, Not the biggest American Idol fan,but He was very good as the Angel.

Sandy and Danny were pretty good, the scenery and backgrounds were fabulous.

I still love the original movie the best and always will.Give me John Travolta, corny as it may have been!!!

SCHOOL REVISITED

This is the front door of my school!
I know it's a funny way to start a blog conversation but after going back to my school on a recent trip to England it didn't feel so big and ominous as it did when I was 12 years old!
I went to a boarding school in North Wales.
I can honestly tell my daughter I know how all the kids at Hogwort's feel!!!(Harry Potter)

This was where We ate all our meals...no floating candles though?
It all seems like a dream. We actually wore long cloaks. It has a wonderful history but on my return I met so many amazing women who were all about 90 and their stories just amazed my daughter! of course She wants to go there now?

http://www.howells.org/
It has been over 20 years since I was there but it was amazing to go back there with my family.
I think my husband was quite amazed!!!
